Do You Want to Read the Bible, But Don’t Know How to Begin?
You’re in luck! The Arvada 24-week Great Adventure Bible Timeline (GABT) study will start again this September and continue through next March! The Great Adventure Bible Timeline makes reading the Bible not only easy, but exciting! In this study, you will learn the major people, places, events and themes of the Bible— you will get the “big picture” of our own salvation history. Through The Great Adventure Bible Timeline you may understand, for the first time in your life, how the Bible stories fit together. This learning can make your Bible reading, and even the Sunday Mass readings come alive like never before.

For those who have already taken the GABT last year, a 24-week study of the book of Matthew will also begin this September. Building directly on the foundation laid in The Great Adventure Bible Timeline, Step Two in The Great Adventure Bible Study Program, Matthew, shows how Jesus builds on the foundation laid in the Old Testament to inaugurate the Kingdom of Heaven on earth. For this reason, it is an ideal follow-up study to the basic narrative of Scripture taught in The Bible Timeline course.
Registration for both the Great Adventure Bible Timeline and Matthew will begin the weekend of August 14th, and run through the weekend of September 4 (Labor Day). No late registrations will be accepted this year.
Classes will be held at Spirit of Christ, St. Joan of Arc and Shrine of St. Anne.

In the future, The Great Adventure Bible studies are planned to be offered each Fall in Arvada parishes. It is suggested that a participant begin with the Bible Timeline study, and then if interested, move on to take Matthew and then Acts, in that order. The Bible Timeline study is the foundational course for all other Great Adventure Bible studies, and is the one to take before taking any other of the 24-week studies.
