OCIA – Order of Christian Initiation of Adults (formerly RCIA) is the ancient process whereby adults come to enter the Catholic Church. It is a spiritual journey involving prayer, study and fellowship.
Interested in becoming catholic? Want to explore our Faith? Know someone who is interested in the Faith? If you are thinking about becoming Catholic, or know someone who is, or just have some questions about the Catholic Faith, you/they are invited to The O.C.I.A.
The O.C.I.A. includes prayer, study, dialogue, instruction and fellowship for those 18 and over who desire to enter into full communion with the Catholic Church. It is also for those adult Catholics who wish to receive the Sacrament of Confirmation. The goal of OCIA is to learn more about the Catholic faith, to deepen one’s love for God, and to walk more closely as a disciple of Jesus.
Are you a Catholic who wants to get married in the Church, be a sponsor or be a godparent, but haven’t been confirmed?
Are you a Catholic who has never been confirmed?
Are you an adult Catholic who has only been baptized and would like to become a full member of the Catholic Church?
Are you an adult who is un-baptized or belongs to another Christian Church and are thinking about becoming Catholic or have questions about the Catholic Church?
If you answered “yes” to any of these questions, then O.I.C.A. is for you.
For any questions about Adult sacramental prep or the OCIA program, please call Fr. Trevor at 303.422.9173 or email him at FrTrevor@spiritofchrist.org.
